The Who, The What, and The Why of the Saint_O_Nothing (Intro)

July 2, 2008 / by Saint_O_Nothing

What makes up a “Saint_O_Nothing”? Hmm well that is a good question.

First of all I am still in high school and I am going to graduate in 2009 which means I’m finally a SENIOR. This is very exciting because it means my mellow-dramatic adventure is coming to an end. I am personally an avid talker and I’m somewhat outgoing. I listen to a lot of music, watch a TON movies, and read quiet a few books. You can call me a pop culture connoisseur. My favorite movies are ones with Edward Norton (totally boss) and Clive Owens (BOSS). I read Kurt Vonnegut, Ayn Rand, Stephen King, and Chuck Palahniuk avidly. And I am a Ska fan. I do like to play with things in my head especially what if’s. My favorite what if is what would you do in a Zombie Attack (blog that one later).I am a noob at blogging but so far I have thoroughly enjoyed doing it so far.

I am an Atheist and am not a big fan of religion. Mostly because of the Imperialism of the entire thing (you know the whole I am right, you are wrong HELLSPAN). I do like evolution and I understand it (it took me a good year of going over it and watching debates to finally be able to even explain it myself). Sadly I do not like to fight and am a little lazy. I do like to debate but I try to keep it civilized. I am not a particularly angry person.

I am amused easily (ohhhh floating string) my favorite thing though (absolute favorite) is to watch two equally dumb people get in a screaming argument about something even dumber (though me and my siblings love to do this). I do not have any cool little peculiar characteristic that makes me special.

The last thing I have to say is that I am an avid individualist and believe that everything and everyone is beautiful in their own right (though sometimes I turn out to be a little hypocritical). We are all different and it should always stay like that. Well, I guess that about wraps up me.

OH (I seem to say oh a lot) if you are wondering what the hell Ska is well it is a cross between Punk rock, Reggae, and Jazz. “Streetlight Manifesto” is awesome! they are a band.

You seem to be a smart chap.  The world needs more of those.  Welcome to Blogster!

And, while we're on the topic of floating string... have you ever stared at a blue sky long enough that you see stars?  The same sort of stars as when someone bonks you over the head or you do too many cartwheels?

    Try is sometime.

Did you know that it takes more faith to believe evolution than it takes to believe the Bible. The best proof of the validity of the Bible is fulfilled prophecy. There are aproximately 2,500 prophecies in the Bible and about 2,000 of them have been fulfilled 100% exactly as prophecied. Only God can do that. One more point: If I'm right, I have eternal life with an eternal body. If I'm wrong, I have still had a better life. If you're wrong, it's the 'Lake of Fire' with torment forever. You can't win, I can. God came to earth as a man & died so that we can live. If you reject Jesus, you are unsaved.

Though you are right, your reasoning is so general. "Did you know that it takes more faith to believe evolution than it takes to believe the Bible" How? Evolution is like Gravity, Though still a theory (everything in science is considered a theory becuase at any moment some one could come up with some hard evidence that says otherwise, Bible is not considered a HARD fact, more like a nice story) But evolution has more evidence than say Man being made by sand and at the hands of a Super Hero.

"One more point: If I'm right, I have eternal life with an eternal body. If I'm wrong, I have still had a better life. If you're wrong, it's the 'Lake of Fire' with torment forever." Are you saying that i should believe in God out of fear that i might go to hell. No, Since God gives me nothing, no proof, no help, and such why should i spend my life groveling at his feet, I will live a content and happy life and Martyr myself to hell because he continues to ask and not provide for his people. Besides i do not believe in him so Praying to him would be a lie, and lieing to god would be worse than not believing if you ask me.

"You can't win, I can. God came to earth as a man & died so that we can live. If you reject Jesus, you are unsaved." Now come on, I love my life and i would not change it for a thing, That is called success, and so I WIN, whether i go to heaven or hell i can always say "well at least i was happy." I like to ask questions and frankly, Christ don't like too many questions if yah know what i mean ;)

Life is short, eternity is forever. There have been people that studied the Bible so that they could prove it wrong and ended bcoming christians themself. Why don't you do that to find out what you are rejecting. Evolution is theory, Bible is truth. The beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord. God made man in His image. God is Spirit (God the Son now has His resurrection body, just like christians will get) and gave man a spirit at creation. Animals ony have a body & soul. Man is body, soul & spirit. Your spirit will live forever somewhere. I do believe in the 'Gap Theory'. See my Blog (11)Gap Theory - Creation. / There is an indeterminate amount of time between creation of the earth & the recreation of the earth about 6,000 yrs. ago. I find the Bible very interesting. There were 40 writers over a period of 1,500 years that wrote 66 books. There are no real contradictions. God is the author and inspired the writers. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)- All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect (complete) throughly furnished unto all good works.

Now i have read the bible (some of it of course) and have many problems with it myself. here are some questions i have out of curiosity

Why did God punish Snakes? He took away thier legs... Satan was manifesting a snake but is not a snake at all. It was not the snakes fault the devil took him over (especially if animals have no spirtit they are just bodies)?

Also why is God so opposed to questions and understanding, He does not want us to decided on him or he would have given us the knowledge of good and evil before hand?

    What exactly is Blasphemey?

Why did Jona punish his son Ham (might have the wrong dad) when he clothed him, we now know that Naked= bad because of the fruit so what is wrong with doing good? like clothing your naked father

these are just a few of my questions that i would like the answer to.

God is omnicient, omnipresent and omnipotent. Who are we to ask God why He does or does not do something. Satan was created as one of the highest angels in heaven. He rebelled against God. 1/3 of the angels in heaven followed Satan (Lucifer). Perhaps God doesn't want another rebellion. We are given a choice now to seek God or take the way that feels good to the flesh. Satan leads through our emotions and our desire for instant gratification. We are being tested on earth to determine who is worthy to live in paradise forever. Satan is guiding your argument, but God is guiding your interest. We can't see the spirit world, but it is just as real as the world of flesh. God is dividing the righteous from the unrighteous. None of us are really righteous in our own right, but those of us who believe that Jesus is the Son of God and follow and obey His teaching are saved. We are made righteous because Jesus paid for our sins. Since our sins are paid for, effectively we have no sin. (Rom.4:8)- Blessed is the man to whom God will not impute sin./  Some people read in the Old Testament when they should be reading in the NT. OT Law was taken out of the way and nailed to the cross. We are now living under Grace. By Grace are we saved, through faith, yet not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. The Church began in the 2nd book of Acts. That's when the teaching applies to us. The OT is for Literature, Wisdom, History and how God dealt with people in other ages. I enjoy Prophecy and that teaches me that the time is near for Christ to Rapture out the Church. Them who are left will go through a 7 yr. period of tribulation. Those who receive the mark of the 'Antichrist' have sealed their doom. Some will believe the Witnesses God sends, but not many. Then Jesus will come back to earth bringing those of us who were raptured out. He will destroy the enemy and we then will reign with Jesus for 1,000 yrs. There is so much more to learn. Read some of my Blog's about christian Topics. They are the ones numbered (2) to (26) and there will be more later.
